HOUSTON, TEXAS -- My daughter took Spirit Airways from Las Vegas to Houston and was not charged for an unaccompanied minor fee. When she was to return, there was a $ 100.00 fee.

They do state that there is a $100.00 fee for unaccompanied minors.

Sounds to me like you got away with saving $100, which is good for you but not the airline.

I'm sorry you were not aware of this. I spent many years paying unaccompanied minor fees for my daughter. It's worth every penny, especially if something goes wrong (cancelled flights, delayed flights, etc.).
