Leatherup.com - Leatherup Having Issues With Sizes, Not Willing To Confirm Information In Writing

Leather Pants - Complaint

LOS ANGELES, ARIZONA -- Leatherup shows a "sizing table" for their pants on their website without the waist size. I sent them several messages and their answer was always "Give us a call"

When I called the answer was immediately "The numeric size is the same as the waist size" - I asked them why they would not give this information as a response to my emails, it appears that the company does not want to stand behind their information: I even talked to a supervisor, David who cut me off several times and would not explain either why they are having a problem to confirm that the waist size is the same as the numeric size. whenever I asked him what the problem was to confirm such a simple thing like "waist size = numeric size" in an email if they were able to say that over the phone, he turned hostile without answering the question.

What he said over the phone was also kind of contradictory: first he said "the waist size is the same as the numeric size" but then it was "each manufacturer is different, you can not exactly determine the size..."

It appears like this company has big issues with the sizes (I have seen many report of people who said that what they ordered was at least 2 numbers off).

I've ordered jackets from them and those sizes are way off too. As they have good products at decent prices I just ordered 2 jackets and sent back the one that didn't fit. They were very nice about it.

I have no idea why their sizes are off, but all the reviews on their site mention this issue, so I would think they aren't trying to hide anything. I just went in knowing this before I ordered.

I do understand being irritated about not discussing stuff in the email. But I think the OP nailed it when they said Leatherup doesn't want to guarantee the sizes. I imagine their suppliers are in places like Pakistan or Turkmenistan or something and it's probably hard to get assurances from these people as to what sizes they're selling.

I had the same problem. My jacket was 2-3 sizes too small. Their XL fit me like a small to medium. It fit my wife who is 120lbs lighter than I am. They will not refund my return shipping cost and I am contacting Visa!
