Guardsman - Don't Waste Your Money on This!!!!!
Furniture Protection Plan - Complaint

Don’t waste your money on this. We were sold this protection plan by the sales person at Ashley Furniture and he made it seem like the easiest process in the world if we ever needed something fixed or repaired. Nothing could be further from the truth. The process is long and arduous and completely frustrating!!!
It took us over two months of going back and forth with Guardsman, sending and resending them pictures (they asked for a total of 39 different pictures several different times). When Guardsman finally came to a decision they told us that our service request was denied (we have the “Elite Protection Plan”) because they believed the damage was due to “usage over time”. We tried explaining that the damage was caused by a specific incident but that did not matter to them.
After bending over backwards and supplying all the various things Guardsman requested they are denying a completely legitimate claim. I wish I had done more due diligence on this service including looking up reviews on “Yelp” and “my3cents.com”. Don’t waste your time on a Guardsman protection plan, they will do all they can to wiggle out of honoring it!

Thanks for your review, which, like many others, convinces me that shopping at Ashley or using Guardsman is a very poor idea.

Overall, I don't know that I'd ever care about Guardsman because I'd never shop at Ashley.
