BELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.

on 9/24/05 serviceman came to house to check for battery pack for digital phone.none found.(is reason for apointment).we stopped service for all comcast. House was being sold. $475. collection agency for non return of battery pack. fighting with them for 5mo. want to go threw house again,so tech can write on log no battery pack found.I don't own house....is it my fault first tech didn't write it down..I've talked to them 10 times since Sept. each with a different answar. no battery pack was ever installed.

As a resolution, I would like the following:

collection agency,off my back. Comcast check original instillation sheet. no battery pack installed. connectted to Mediaone already installed to house. ck 1/24/05 service call for walk threw. he had to write something done, for that call. Help please

You're going to have to get the Collection Agency off your back yourself. Start recording the calls, and transcribing the dialog. Keep ALL letters from them, etc... You need to send them a demand for validation the debt, as well. After them, wait for them to validate, or for the attorney general of your state to give you the all clear. Either way...if the CA get's nasty with you, come back and let us know. We'll tell you how to deal with them. Good luck!
