INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- Tried to book a room for a family in need. Was turned away because I wasn't there to provide my drivers license. When I contacted Choice they shrugged their shoulders and said it's up to the property owner to set policy. Unbelievable. They had my rewards number and credit card on file.

There is a strong possibility they did not want to rent a room to this particular family.Regardless many businesses will not honor credit cards without IDs.

I don't think it is unreasonable for a business to require identification when charging to a credit card, especially since it is a telephone transaction. I also suspect that if the OP went into a Rodeway local to where they live, that Rodeway would have placed to the call to the other hotel and verified the information for them.
