AT&T sucks in Customer Service

DALLAS, TEXAS -- I've been with AT&T for over 10 years..in the past few years, they have sucked at Customer Service and resolving problems. Most of the time you can't understand the people you talk to (if you are in America, learn the damn language!!!) I live in a big city and half the time I don't have service and when I do, I constantly have dropped calls and interrupted internet connections. Anytime you call, they deny you help or solutions because You don't have insurance or warranty. Cingular Wireless was much better before they acquired AT&T. Simple.

At&T wireless customer service is contracted to a company company known as Convergys. I worked for several years for this company. Their representatives average 2-300 calls per day and are pressured to resolve or complete every call within 4 minutes. The training is very sporadic and poor.

The average representative is a college student or has just finished high school and pay is the bare minimum allowed. The average time in the job is 2-3 months. They are pressured to finish the call in the short time frame, offer little to no credits in any situation and despite knowing that service in an area may be experiencing issues they are directed to deny any knowledge of the same. I would avoid AT&T at all costs after working for this company.

Thanks for your comment...I'm considering switching to another company but I'm sure I will get robbed of hundreds of dollars if I do.
