Gateway - Buyer Beware!

NIL -- I've had a Gateway computer for a year now, time to upgrade.....no go, have to take it to the store and pay $100 to have memory installed. When you purchase something, check warranty to see what will/won't void your warranty. I'm disabled and have friends that don't mind helping me. If there is a next time, I'll be a lot more diligent, possibly ever take them along with me.

I've been involved with computer servicing for sometime. It is not uncommon for 'upgrading' a computer to void the manufacturer's warranty.
