Two years ago I purchased a Calphalon 12 inch hard-anodized omelet pan for $60.00. Tired of buying the cheap pans that quickly wear out, this pan came with a full lifetime warranty. I made sure to save the receipt and the manufacturers written warranty enclosed in the box. This is a great piece of cookware but after two years everything started sticking which ruined the food. Cleaning the pan was a real chore and no I never put it in the dishwasher.

Let's be realistic, no piece of cookware is going to last a lifetime. It is advertised as such so you'll buy it. Probably most people just discard it and purchase a new one. I returned the pan to Kohl's to see if they honored the lifetime warranty. Well they sure did. Customer service looked at the receipt and warranty and issued me a $60.00 store credit. Sweet!! They had a new $90.00 Calphalon pan that I purchased with a lifetime warranty. Using the 30% discount they mailed me I basically got the pan for free. Again I saved the receipt and warranty. Kohl's treats the customer right and they have earned my business.

Hip Hip Hooray for Kohls great customer service! I thought you would have to deal with the manufacturer directly to get the lifetime warranty.

Kohls probably has the most liberal return policy of any of the major department store chains; but even I'm surprised that they were willing to give you store credit after two years. Most stores would have made you go through the manufacturer.

Kohls does have an excellent return policy. I've never had any problem returning anything there.

But, there is cookware that will last a lifetime..cast iron skillets. That is one well seasoned item I did not get in my divorce, so gotta start all over.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but early in December when I started Christmas shopping, I came across a bag of clothes from Kohls that I purchased for Christmas gifts the year before. (yeah, I know, duh!)
I was all set to dontae them, and a family member insisted on bringing them back to Kohls. They gave me a refund for the whole deal, no problems, and with a smile. I did, however, still have the receipt in the bag with the clothes.

That's Customer Service that's tough to beat.
