NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Staples Rewards Program is a rip off. Last year I spent thousands of dollars and got no rewards at all. I sent an email to the representative listed on my account and got no response. Ripping people off - for Staples, that's easy!

This how it is with Office Depot as well. Ive spent alot of money and I only got 5 points total in 5 years.

Its because rewards for both companies are only issued on certain items.

You only get rewards on ink, paper and copy and print. You can spend all the money you want and if It's not on those items then you get nothing!!

The Staples Rewards is only on ink paper and toner. If you aren't buying that, of course you won't get rewards. I buy plenty of ink and recycle all of my cartridges with them, and I love the rewards!
