INDIANA -- We purchased travel insurance for our trip to Aruba. The trip was interrupted by Storm "Sandy" and our return flight to Newark International was cancelled. We had been grounded for several days, at first without a hotel, ultimately finding a room in the High district at the Marriot.

I immediately contacted Seven Corners and they instructed me to save all of my receipts. We eventually got the first flight out of Aruba, which was four days later. I spent more than $2500 between Hotel, food, cab fare back and forth to the airport everyday and incidentals. Once we got back home.I again contacted Seven Corners and packaged up ALL of the original receipts to mail to them.

Several weeks, five to six, had gone by and I inquired what the status of my claim was with Seven Corners. They continually gave me the response that they had no information and that it could take up to several more weeks to review the information. They finally sent me a letter claiming that I needed to send an original hotel receipt. I made copies of everything I sent them originally and I am 100% certain they got the original.

I had to contact Marriot for another copy. Once I received the receipt from Marriot I again mailed it out ot Seven Corners. I have been calling them for over 6 weeks trying to get a response or indication of the status. It is getting extremely frustrating and I am growing concerned that I may never see my claim. I repeatedly call customer service and I am either given no answer or told to wait a couple of more weeks for them to review the claim. Boy I am getting tired of this!
