Dish TV - Cannot get connected
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA -- I have tried twice now to acquire dish TV service. The first time I talked to dish on the phone 4 times before setting up the appointment for installation. When the installer came he said he had never done a motor home before and told us that the equipment was not compatible with our satellite. So we told him that if he can not do it for our motor home than we did not want it in the house.
I then talked to a retailer who told me it can work and how it would be set up. We were going on a trip so I put it off.
Then on our trip I talked to another retailer who said he would do it, set up the contract, took my credit card information and said the installer would call me. Well after the installer neglected to call I called the retailer back and he told me three things. One that they looked at my house and said it would be too difficult to set up in my house. The second thing he told me was that they had to do our house first and not the motor home first as we had set up. The third thing he said was that the basic problem was the company wanted to make more money off of me.
Can you believe this!
My husband then called this guy and had him send his installer out, he just confused me and got me very concerned about allowing him to work on our satellite so we then just cancelled again. He kept talking about having a third party come to program the satellite for $300.00. Then there were other charges that he kept mentioning, now this was the installer who had nothing to do with the contract that was already written up. If they want our business they should not make it so difficult to acquire and it certainly should not be a stressful situation as this was. When we get home from our trip I will try one more time with the local retailer in our area and hopefully third time will be a charm. This has just been an unbelievable stressful situation and totally bad bussiness.
