SPRING, TEXAS -- Kohl's won't let you use your extra 20% off for Kohls bucks. This is bad business, totally unfair. I would never have bought anything from them had I known this is the way they do business. Also, I returned the item and most of the items I purchased with the Kohls Cash. They took the Kohls cash off of my return amount and would only give me store credit for the items I returned using Kohls cash.

Talk about a rip off, no more shopping there for me. They think customers don't matter. They will eventually go the way of Mervyns, out of Business!!!

Kohls cash is free money. You don't get it back when you return something. And since it is free money, it makes sense that you can't combine it with any other discounts. I think Kohls has a great return policy and good customer service.

How can you consider yourself ripped off when you made your purchase with Kohl's Bucks and never paid for the item(s) in the first place?

As far as I know you can use it with their coupons too...Ive done it before unless it has changed also its not bad business or unfair..but as far as them ripping you off because you returned something and they didn't give you back the Kohl's cash your wrong because it is free money...I love Kohls and have never had any issues shopping there..

The Kohl's cash was a freebie and in return they are giving a store credit. Seems fair to me.

well technically the kohls cash is not free, however, i do agree that u should not be able to return it for cash. It is a promotion they run sometimes if you spend 50 bucks you get 10 dollars cash. They have guidelines with those. I love kohls and love the deals i get when i shop there. After christmas, i went and gtt a lot of things on sale!

Read the back of the KC. Clearly says the conditions. If you return the item that earned you "free money" you don't get to keep it. If you spent it already that amount is deducted from the return.

This is so scammers don't game the system buying a 500$ mixer, earning 100$ KC, spending the KC, then returning the mixer, netting them 100$ in merchandise/cash from return like you seem to want.

It is a coupon, not cash, and KC can't be combined with other coupons. They can be in the same transaction though. The system automatically applies coupons in the most beneficial way for kohls.

If you are making a 70$ purchase with 10$ KC and 20% off...

Kohl's wants: (70-10)x0.8= 48
You want: (70x0.8)-10= 46

That 1.5-3 (depending on discount) dollar difference per 10$ KC adds up to a lot nation wide. They aren't stealing from you. That's how the coupon says it works.

If you are super-insistant on getting that 20%...

Find item for slightly more than your KC is worth. Buy item using KC. Return item, netting store credits. Your KC now won't expire and can be used with discounts in the future. Grats on bothering with all that for like 2$.
