Verizon - Thoughtless and Poor Customer Service on FIOS Install
FIOS Installation - Complaint
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA -- I placed an order for FiOS last week and was given a window of 8:00 to 12:00 Jan. 29 when the service tech would show up to do the installation. So I remained home to receive the service tech. At 12:03, I received a voice mail from Verizon saying they would not be coming because they had not assembled everything they would need to do the job. They say they will call to reschedule.
So why did they not know the day before that they could not do the work? They have telephones and email and they are a "communications" company. Why can they not communicate. This is inexcusable poor service for what is supposed to be a modern company. (I am writing this while on hold waiting to talk with someone at Verizon about their poor service. My next call will be to the cable company to see what they can offer.)
