SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- Adds charges and refuses to close acct. Transferred a balance to another credit card company and they did just the opposite. Made to pay invalid charges to Walmart. Walmart repaid me for their errors and reported they did not get payments from Capital One. Horrible customer service. Frequent hang ups. Actually closed this acct. on phone with a supervisor on one end and the closure person on the other. Kept calling to check on status of acct. It is STILL open. More charges are still being added on that I refuse to pay.

Where are the charges coming from? If they are yours, you don't have an option but to pay them.
If you scheduled automatic payments against this card, you have to turn them off before you can close, otherwise it will keep reopening.
How about some more detail here?

As with my account, which they did the same thing, the charges were fraud and they refused to investigate. they held up a payment from Capital One bank, which also held up A DIRECT PAYMENT TO THEIR CREDIT CARD, then said it went into overdraft, so it wasn't EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OVERDRAFT PROTECTION! Closed the bank, after paying my "overdraft" and the opened it back up-with $186 on my supposedly $0 balance. The bank had made NSF fees from not clearing the payment to their credit card company, the credit card company made NSF fees, late fees and all kinds of other fees.Credit card company said it would take off fees-lied and said the payment to it showed "hold"! So why di they charge NSF. 13 phone calls transferred all over, including the "fraud" department in Costa rica, 4 chat later all I have are charges and a bank account that won't go away.
