Burger King - Coupons

Complaint

NORTH CAROLINA -- I regularly get coupons from Burger King in my mail. Almost [all]of them are for buying two items for one price. I am single. What am I going to do with two Whoppers or Chicken sandwiches? You need to send out more coupons for those of us who are single and can't use those coupons. Don't you know that there are a lot of single folks who can't use those coupons?

i notice that burger king is not the only one that does that. why not take a friend out to lunch?

Good advice Andbran, I used those kind of coupons all the time at work. I'd go in together with a co worker and instead of one of us paying full price and the other a free one, I'd use the coupon and we'd split the price...so, we would each get our burger for half the price we'd pay if we didn't have a coupon.

There will be a time when you will get personally targeted advertisements coupons - to your home, your phone....But BK is not doing that.
It is a waste of time, money, mailing etc, it ticks me off - that waste. The option to share lunch with someone is also good. We do it at work all the time.

there should never be a requirement to take someone with one, when using a coupon. they could at least offer something for people who eat alone.

very helpful review, and voted as such!!

Why not put the second sandwich in the fridge for the next day? My wife thinks I am nuts but I can enjoy a cold Whopper or chicken sandwich for breakfast or a quick lunch.

Mmmmm - I'm imagining Basher and I on a date, and I use my cherished "Two Whoppers for the price of 1 coupon." How romantic!

I recall when I was a young shaver in high school, and BK had this ruboff promotion. Most of the cards gave you something, whether it be free fries or a free coke. My friend worked there and stole a gross of the cards. We rubbed em off, and distributed the winning ones among us. Went in one night and had more BK than a human should be exposed to.

Ever since, I limit myself to one "entree" per visit...

8er, 8er, my 8er...you melt my heart like a slice of cheese on a Whopper.

some people can eat 2 whoppers....u dont have to be a couple to redeem the coupons. I can understand buy one get one free, they probably cant afford to give coupons that offer a free sandwich with no other purchase....sometimes they offer buy a fry and drink and get a free sandwich..use that if u have that.
