CHESTERLAND, OHIO -- We built new home. Upgrade of wood flooring red oak 10 by Mohawk.

1. Flooring looks nothing like the samples.

2. Within a couple of weeks of installation the flooring started bubbling, twisting and the finish was coming off.

We contacted builder.....the builder brought out Mohawk representative who said "it was our home environment and our basement must have flooded". Our basement is bone dry and never flooded. The flooring is horrible. The builder has replaced our wood floor at his own cost. I hope this builder goes after Mohawk.

DO NOT PURCHASE MOHAWK. They do not stand behind their product and they produce a terrible product.

This is just one more example of how Mohawk does not stand behind their warranty. I too bought their inferior flooring which proved defective within 12 weeks but Mohawk just ignored my complaints and refused to even discuss their reasons for denying my complaint. I will buy flooring from China next time. America lets manufacturers get away with cheating their customers and ripping us off royaly. No wonder we are losing to Asia! We deserve to.

I wish I had seen this before I installed it. I have the rosewood heirloom collection, and the finish is coming off after only a year. Actually it started within months, and at first I had assumed that maybe I spilled water. But it's coming off all over now, just through normal wear and tear in the room, even areas without a lot of foot traffic. I have no idea where the recept is, and it sounds like they wouldn't stand by it anyway.

I have it in an upper bedroom, and I have pergo in a near-by room that has withstood all sorts of disasters without any signs of aging, and it's been installed 3 years longer. I didn't go with pergo this time because I wanted a color similar, and pergo discontinued the one I had, and didn't have anything close to replace it.
