HEALDTON, OKLAHOMA -- Two occasions. My daughter and myself own a set of Cabrio top loader washer and side load dryer. Her washer tub bearing mechanism went out within 2years. Cost around $600.00 to repair. Tossed it out even the appliance repairman bad mouthed the unit and apologized for selling it to them. I picked up junked washer in mind that I had one just like it and could salvage some parts. Sure enough my tub mechanism went out also. Now we have two good trash cans with water tight lid. I won't buy anymore Whirlpool products.

The bearings can fail if the wrong detergent is used, which leads me to wonder if there are other resrictions. I'm happy not having one of these new fangled machines for now. Lots of complaints about bearings.

There's a 'fix' for that-in most cases-that should be half that est-call around.
