Best Buy, Inc. - Discrimination Concerns

SMRYNA, GEORGIA -- Purchased high end appliances. Had to call the store about 11 times to schedule delivery. When products delivered a 30,000 pound truck was used and cracked my driveway. The arm on the automatic gate opener was damaged when truck got stuck on gate. I'm having a hard time getting someone to call my back about covering the damages.

I have never seen a 30,000 pound delivery truck. Why would B.B. need this to deliver an appliance? I fail to see how this was discrimination. Don't make something out of nothing. If your property was damaged contact your H.O. agent or landlord. Let them deal with the problem.

A semi-truck and trailer empty weighs about 30,000 pounds (internet search). I doubt if a semi delivered the product. More likely is was a truck weighing 5,000 pounds or so, that had marked on it a carrying capacity of 30,000 pounds.
A cracked driveway could occur because the concrete was not thick enough, or it lacked any reinforcing bars in it. As ok4now said, contact your landlord or homeowners agent and let them fight it out.

30K lbs would be about 15 tons if my math is correct. I guess it's plausible. What's the typical weight of your average delivery truck?
