Do Not Sell On Ebay

CALIFORNIA -- I listed 5 fishing reels on Ebay. They were suppose to be free listings.
I sold all 5, not without problems, and got a bill for 9% of the selling price and 9% of the shipping price totaling $88.75 I contacted and asked why I was charged for free listings. The representative told me the listing was free but the sale cost 9% and because I did not ship for free they charged me 9% of the freight charge as well.
I had neg feedback sent to them even before the item was delivered and there is no way to adequately challenge that report.
You can't get your money from Paypal without paying a fee to them and only after 21 days.
I spoke to Ebay and their representative seem to have a very, I don't care attitude.
In all they make it very difficult and favor the buyer. A learning experience but I don't think I will use them again.

DROP EBAY! I left Ebay and started selling on Webstore.com and I've been a happy seller/buyer ever since. Unlike Ebay, they do NOT charge you ANY fees for selling because they have advertisers. It is a very similar format like Ebay and they do offer PayPal as a payment option, but you don't HAVE to use PayPal, they have several other options for payments.

In all fairness, it sounds like you sold items on ebay without a clear understand of how ebay and paypal work. LISTINGS are free, like you were told by the ebay rep, it is free to list. You still have to pay ebay a commission though. Paypal also holds funds for 21 days, it does not apply to everyone but usually if you are a new user or selling items deemed risky. And its all spelled in the terms and conditions that you agree to when you sign up for a paypal account. As far as the feedback, there actually is a very clear way to dispute feedback and your options are outlined here http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/feedback-disputes.html
