MACHESNEY PARK, ILLINOIS -- On October 16, 2012 I bought a lamp from your store in Machesney Park and wanted another one just like it. But, the other lamp like it was damaged on the base and I was not going to buy something that looked like that. So, I went back to store and asked if the manager could possibly find me one in another store. She said she had no way or couldn't get on the computer to find out, but would e-mail all 100 stores and let me know.

A few weeks went by and I never heard from her. So, I went in again and she had thrown my name and number away so she took my information and said she would call me again. Well, it got to be Thanksgiving time, heard nothing, so I called her and she said everyone was too busy because BLACK FRIDAY was coming and I should just sit back and relax about. That really made me mad. I did wait until 1-3-2013 and called again talking to a JOE and he retook information about the lamp again and said Dawn would call that afternoon of which she never did. I think she has very poor customer service skills.

In December I took lamp back and repurchased it as she suggested, so I had a few months more to keep it to see if another would ever come in. Well I never spoke with her again after I called and she never returned my call which was 1-3-2013. Obviously she did not want to even see if she could find me another.

Today is February 6, 2013 and I had to return the lamp as I never heard from her and my time was up. I took the lamp back and she was there. At first she tried to ignore me and then she finally spoke and said we never got your lamp in. I replied yes I know you never called me. I had that lamp for 4 months hoping to get a matching one. I liked it so much and it was not one of your cheaper lamps it coast $69.00 your price and retail $120.00 their on the tag.

I worked in retail for 20 years and if we told a customer we would try to get something for them we would at least call and tell them we couldn't locate it but with her it was never the case. I hope she doesn't treat all of your customers that way. With the times as they are right now I would think every sale was important so now you got your merchandise back and lost a sale and I don't know when I will shop there again. I sure will tell all my friends how I was treated by her. Most store go out of their way to please the customer I know if I had done that where I worked I would of been fired they don't put up with it with so many people looking for jobs now days.
