MEDINA, OHIO -- The Choice hotel I stayed at over the summer for a week was a dump!! I as a business person would not want ANY association with Choice Hotels. I stayed at Rodeway Inn in Medina, Ohio. The place is just disgusting!! It is falling apart, for example when it rains outside, it rains inside too! It is a know drug haven. Every where you look you find something else that is not up to par such as dead bugs on the bathroom floor, dirty sheets (who knows if they really get changed). And the best part of all- or shall I say worst: in the staff! One or two of them are friendly, otherwise they act like your in their way! They are outright rude to customers plus some of the staff has been known to overcharge customer and pocket the difference to support their drinking/drug habits.

The owner is aware of the theft and does not care because he is too busy with his mistress, as I came too find out. People sometimes report bedbugs, but no one really cares because it is such a hole. And one more tidbit: if you want to leave tip for the housekeeper, make sure you put it in their hand because the maintenance crew goes around and steals all of the tips in the morning so they can buy their beer and get to work. If you can avoid this place all together. There are many other decent hotels in the area.

How is it that you seem to know so much about the personal lives of all the staff?

I never choose choice hotels because quite frankly they suck. When given a choice don't choose Choice I always say. Outstanding review!

No Anne, they stayed there for a week. I have stayed at hotels for more than a week at a time, and trust me it was a lot if I even knew their first name.
