MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA -- I called Target Customer Service to get the address for payment, sorry if I'm spelling his name [snip] came on the line, and gave me the formalities, I said Thanks but no, I just need the address today. He kept on and said I have your credit card number on file, no cost to you, just let me proceed with the tranaction. I said Thanks, but no I just need the Target address today. He became insistent and so I proceeded to ask for a Manager on Duty, he said again no they're not available. Really!!!!!

It's bad enough that we're all struggling but I thought it was my choice how I pay my bills!!!!! I will not be shopping at Target if I can't get a simple question asked! I feel Mr.[snip] should be reprimanded or written up or move him to another department this is the real world. I've been in customer service for 15 years and I dare not tell the customer no verusus on his or hers wants I know I would've gotten written up or lost a day!

In every call center I have worked in, all calls must be logged. The CSR must be in your account to log the call. It's frustrating when you just want a question answered, but it's standard procedure.

I fail to see how he was rude, sounds like he was just doing his job. In the future, you can find their payment address here http://www.target.com/redcard/contact.

What transaction was Pravid trying to enlist you in, at no cost to you?

I had a hard time telling from your complaint, but is it possible he wanted your card # just to verify your account and that he was giving the right payment address?

Address for payments:

Target National Bank
P.O. Box 660170
Dallas, TX. 75266-0170

Since they seem to have only one payment address, I don't see why the CSR had a problem giving you that info over the phone without going into your account. At first, I thought maybe they used different address' for different locations...but their site only has one listed.

I have worked in various call center environments over the years. It is a common practice, when a caller requests a supervisor to try and convince them to allow you them to address your issue. Call center representatives are often counseled for failure to be able to resolve these issues. In many call centers there may be only one or two supervisors on duty on a shift and they are often not available due to meetings, being on other calls etc. I rarely had a supervisor available to take a call directly from a customer.
