Brother International Complaint - Bad Product - Brother MFC-3420C

SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA -- I purchased a Brothers MFC 3420C Printer less than two years ago and I have had more problems with the system than I have ever had with any printer. The Brother Company replaced the first system (it failed in less than a year)with a new MFC 3420C 8 month ago and the replacement system just stopped working. I called the customer service and was told that I was just out of luck with the new system even if it was only 8 months old their warranty is only for one year and the replacement system has no warranty on it at all. My experience with the Brother product has been poor at best. All I can say is if you are going to purchase a MFC system it would be time well spent to look at other than a Brother system.

Interesting. I've had good luck with brother printers myself. For the price they are hard to beat. I think the worst printer is a Dell. Have to order the ink. My year old Epson printer is going south. Does nothing last anymore?

I like Brother for their fax machines. Printers I have found HP better then most in their price range.

I have had two Brother machines and both died for the same reasons: the print head died. To replace the head is over $100. The design of the MFC machines is to clean the head more than twice a day causing excess ink usage (premature ink life). If the ink runs out due to low usage, the print head either clogs or fails. I gave Brother a second chance when I bought my 3420C but never again. My recommendation is to buy ANYTHING that does not say BROTHER on it. Stay away from BROTHER, it is nothing but JUNK.
