Electrolux - Worst Customer Service- Poor Product
This review is for: Electrolux Icon 36 inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop - E36GC75GSS
We liked the looks of this cooktop and against our better judgment went with 1 Electrolux product for our newly remodeled kitchen.
About a year after the purchase one of the burners stopped working. Electrolux was kind enough to send an electrician to our home on our bill ($100) who told us that the burner (under warranty) was not working (gee thanks.)
We called Electrolux to get the burner which was still under warranty (Electrolux had confirmed from the retail seller had confirmed to Electrolux that we purchased the cooktop in the time frame that the part was still under warranty) informed us that while the part was under warranty the service is not covered. I decided that I wanted to install the part myself and asked them to send the part to me directly. At this point I was told they would get back to me. Then they called me back (which is shocking) and told me that I need the serial number, which is located in the back of the built in cooktop and unreachable and even though they could verify our purchase they could no longer HONOR the warranty without it.
Verified my purchase but wouldn't honor the warranty on a shabby product, you get what you paid for.
