Wendy's - New Hot and Jucey Cheesburger

TREXLERTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA -- I've had this new hot and juicy cheeseburger in 2 Wendy's in my area. The TV ad depicts caramelized onions on the sandwich. I complained through Wendy's regular info on the back of one of the checks. An individual from the store called me and her explanation was we don't serve caramelized onions because of the E-coli, we only serve raw onions. I've spent my whole life working in hospital food service. So I tried to explain to her that raw onions where more likely have e-coli than cooked ones. She was having none of it and sticking to her guns. So I thanked her and hung up.

I think you are confusing your fast food places. Wendy's now uses raw red onions on their burgers not caramelized. McDonald's has a new Grilled Onion Cheddar that has caramelized onions on it though.

Wendy's is not good. They jumped the shark many years ago. However, I do dig that new and improved young wendy's chick on the commercials. Now She's hot and juicy I'll tell ya what.
