Mcdonalds @230 S State St - Worst McDonalds Experience Ever

Cheeseburger - Complaint

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I visited this McDonalds for the first time last night and will NEVER visit again. I ordered a cheeseburger, french fries and soda last night before my class at DePaul. I took my first bite and got a huge pubic hair in mouth. It was INSIDE the sandwich. I nearly threw up. I still gag thinking about it.

My disgust was compounded when I notified the manager and he barely blinked an eye. He didn't apologize; he literally threw another cheeseburger on the counter in front of me. I told him I did not want another burger. Seriously, why would I eat something made in the same kitchen that put a pubic hair in my mouth only minutes earlier. He ended up giving me $1.11 back despite the fact that I couldn't eat my entire meal.

I am disgusted by this entire situation and how it was handled. Poorly done, McDonalds.

I've seen many people who has hair that looks like pubic hairs...so, this may have not actually been a pubic hair...but, I can well understand your reaction to it because no matter what part of the body it came from, that's the first thing that would come to mind. Geesh..ANY hair in your food is bad enough, but when you really believe it was a pubic hair AND you got it in your mouth...*Gagging*

What gets me are the places that make their employee's wear a hair net or sun visor (I have no clue who ever thought a sun visor should be used in place of a hair net)...but they wear the hair net to cover the TOP of their head and the hair is all hanging out from the bottom and hanging in their eyes...PULL YOUR HAIR UP FROM HANGING!!!!!!

Most localities require those handling food wear an "effective hair restraint" which is defined as a hairnet, cap or headband(visor). This will vary based on your location. In general hair restraints are only as effective if management and the individual food handler are constantly mindful of their proper use. When I worked as a health inspector, this was by far the most common violation second only to proper handwashing.
