Chase Manhattan Bank Complaint - Cancel Your Chase Credit Cards!!!!!!!
MESQUITE, TEXAS -- We have had a Chase credit card for many years and really haven't had many problems, until this last year. We have two cards with balances ranging between $16,000 and $20,000. We have always paid our payments early and much more than the minimum payment. We have never been late on any payment to Chase for either card. In December 2005, Chase decided to raise our interest rates based on the Credit Score for Diane, of which had dropped to 596, Donnie's was still around 680. Now why would Chase do this based on out payment history with them? Chase just didn't raise our interest rates. They more than doubled them. One card went from 9.12% to 20.24% and the other card went from 11.65% to 29.99%. Our interest payment alone for both cards is now over $600 per month. You would think that this would be illegal. Our balances are too large to just transfer to another card. We tried talking to Chase about this and they keep telling us that they have the right to raise their rates. Chase said that they sent us a letter stating this back in October 2005. Of which we never received. So, we are the process of refinancing our home just to get rid of Chase for good. CHASE HAS NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY AT ALL.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND anyone trying to get a Chase credit card and would advise current Chase cardholders to start the process of eliminating their Chase credit cards before it's too late.
