PUNE, MASSACHUSETTS -- Buying a product from Ebay is simply wasting your money. Never ever purchase any electronic stuff from EBay. I purchase HTC desire z and withing 5 months it completely stopped working. Touch screen not working, phone getting heat up so ultimately Battery damaged.
When contacted Ebay they saying its not under EBAY warranty. The seller no on invoice is not working so got another contact no from Ebay which is also not working.
I don't understand why don't EBay check seller Authenticity before taking them. I am completely fooled by EBay

It is not ebay's fault that you don't understand how the site works. Your not actually buying from ebay, your buying from a seller that uses ebay as a storefront. I strongly suggest you read & familiarize yourself with ebay and it's policies.

It is extemely risky buying electronics online from anything except an authorized retailer. Some sellers will claim they are an authorized retailer, but they aren't. There is a lot of counterfeit stuff on Ebay. You have to look at the picture and ad very carefully.
In my opinion, as a long time users of Ebay, you are suggesting a level of protection that Ebay can not supply as merely an lister of the goods sold by others.
The only protection Ebay may afford is if the seller didn't send you the item, or it was not as advertised when you received it. 5 months later, the only protection you would have is from the seller directly. This is why it is real important to examine ads carefully and find out everything you can about the seller.
