Price line - Double Charge

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I requested a hotel through Price Line and was double charged on my debit card. I didn't think that it would be any problem to straighten out, was I wrong. First of all it took me an hour to get through to a person and after all that I was told that it showed that I had booked two rooms and that I could't be refunded for the second charge. This place is very unprofessional.

Call your bank and have the payment reversed. Your bank may have a charge for this but it will be much cheaper than paying twice.

Never use your debit card for this type of purchase. Always use a credit card. And be careful where you do use your debit card. It's like handing over your account to someone. You have far more rights when using a credit card.

To protect myself, whenever I order things on line I print every screen as I move through the order process. That way, I have proof of exactly what I purchased - as well as the fact that the slight delay it takes to print, allows me to review the screen again to make sure it is exactly what I want.
