Do not buy Whirlpool ranges. They are lousy

WYCKOFF, NEW JERSEY -- Bought a gas range 1.5 years ago and the paint on the grating peeled off and is rusting. I called Whirlpool and they said it was cosmetic. I told him I have never seem a range grate look like this and he said he can't do anything about it. One would think they would have solved this issue by this time, but obviously not. I would never buy another Whirlpool appliance again.

Whirlpool appliances and the old Kenmore made by Whirlpool they used to make for Sears were pretty good stuff and lasted a long time. Not any more, now they are built to break down so they can sell more appliances in shorter time frames.

Helpful info on the grating to watch out for.

That stinks - I have an 18 year-old range and he grates sound like they are in better shape than this. Appliances today aren't of the same quality they were 10 years ago.
