Verizon - MUST PAY FOR MISTAKE

Complaint

I recently wrote a complaint about an unwanted pay-for-view charge I incurred due to mistakenly clicking on a PFV channel. There were 5 responses that were helpful. Namely, I should put a pin number on my account so this mistake will not happen. Thank you responders. You would think, however, Verizon customer service would have suggested this and told me how to do it. They did not. They instead implied I was trying to pull a fast one. Seems the general public has more savey.

You stated that someone with access mistakenly accessed the PPV function.

I remember your complaint, and I believe I commented at the time that people do take advantage of companies, and the company has no idea if your case was indvertant or something else. You may feel like they were alleging the latter, but the fact is they have no way of knowing what the truth is.

In the old days, AT&T believed you when you called, and would remove charges. But those days ended decades ago - I'm talking about the 60's and 70's.

I can't believe that Verizon doesn't know exactly how long the PPV channel was watched. If they can see it was only 30 or 40 seconds, there should be no question about removing the charge.
