Humana - Frustrating
DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA -- As a Physician I am often required to perform prior authorizations for certain medications. I always dread when this comes from Humana, because it usually means that I will be spending at least 10-20 minutes on the phone trying to get the medication for the patient. Sometimes they will refuse even after going through this process.
I feel that it is likely that they intentionally make this process difficult in order to save money, and this is extremely frustrating for both myself and my patients. I would not recommend this insurer for any patient of mine.
