All American Towing Complaint - We broke it, but you gotta fix it!

Review by ice queen on 2006-02-05
AUBURN, CALIFORNIA -- After my Jeep & cab-over camper were towed my jeep was never the same.
When the tow truck driver arrived, I asked that he take care when towing my truck. I was concerned that he was hooking it up wrong.
He said he knew what he was doing so I told him I would see him that evening to settle up the bill and retreive my truck.
I arrived with paperwork and was shown out to the shop.
As I got into my truck, I grabbed the stirring wheel. It was so sloppy and loose, I was afraid to back out of the stall. When I asked 'Hey, what is wrong with my trucks stirring?'
The owners lil brother answered back..
'Nothing' it was like that when I picked it up!
I said' No it was not'
'Are you the owner'I then asked.
Nope, that would be my brother.
I said, 'May I get his number, call him, and discuss this problem?'
'Nope' he answered.
OK, may I use your phone?
He then directed me to the office. Opps, never leave the owners name and home phone number out in the open( I'm a retired secretary). I quickly wrote the number amd went back outside.

Lil brother became very upset with me and said it was my problem and that I could just leave now and don't come back!
Not only was I treated rudely,
-I had a broken stirring wheel
- No wipers (Thank God for RainX)
-No defroster (in the middle of freezing Seirra Nevada winter) Donner Party could see better than me!
-No heater!
- No Dash lights!
After about 6 phone calls to the owner, I gave up on trying to make them pay for repairs and had to sell the truck and camper to a friend that could go through and fix ALL of the stuff ALL AMERICAN TOWING BROKE.
I loved my truck and enjoyed the many fishing and camping trips I took.
Thats it in a nut shell... so, if ya brake down in Placer County,California please call Hall's towing, they are AAA and they stand behind the work they do.
Happy Trails, KT Cameron

Small claims court! Go to your local courthouse..file the paperwork...and have his this company served by the sheriff.

Sorry to hear about the problems with your STEERING wheel, but I don't see how a simple towing job could lead to your heater, defroster, wiper and dash lights becoming inoperative. Since you didn't tell us why you were originally towed in, or what repairs we made that enabled you to drive the truck home, it's hard to condemn the towing company based on just this info.

Ok So you really are mentally impaired! How can dash lights, wipers, defrost etc become damaged from hooking a chain underneath your car! All American Towing should sue you for defamation of character and false claims. I wouldn't have given you the time of day either! Way to go All American Stand your ground!

CommonSense, do you even realize the post you responded to is OVER TWO YEARS OLD?

But the three original responders are still around! How's that for supporting a web site!
