PENNSYLVANIA -- I re-financed with the same bank, Sovereign Bank. They had been servicing my mortgage for 10 years plus. When the new documents were created they suddenly developed an issue with the address of my humble abode. The results? No 1098, no statements, no payment coupon book. When I started confronting them on this they admitted they put the wrong address (to begin with) on my 1098 so it was sent back to them. The wrong address on a FEDERAL TAX DOCUMENT! I asked them to fix it, they said they don't do that. Of course, what was I thinking?
A week plus after starting to negotiate with them around their half-assed handling of my mortgage I'm getting NOWHERE! I'm considering a law suit.
