Sears - Cannnot Get Refund for Returned Merchadise

ILLINOIS -- I received a duplicate order for a diamond ring purchased online from Sears in late December 2012. I was instructed to return the ring and I did. They said they put the money back into our bank account. They did not. We faxed a copy of our bank account as the told us to do. They still will not give us a refund. I call at least once a week about this. All I get is to get sent to different departments and more lies. Its been over 3 months and this is ridiculus.

Did you use a debit card? Does it have a Visa or MasterCard logo? If it does, call your bank and ask them for a chargeback. Or file a dispute to get it on record with your bank.

I'd be calling once a day if I were you, first think in the morning after I check my bank account.

The OP needs to communicate more in writing, sending letters certified for proof of receipt. This may end up in a lawsuit, and the she said/he said of telephone calls is pretty worthless evidence. Put in the letters what they are telling you: "This is to confirm our conversation of March 1, 2013 when your employee, jinny smith, said ....."
