Maytag - Dishwasher Quiet Series 400
Maytag Quiet Series 400
We purchased it several years ago and it has been falling apart since then. Literally! Each week a clip would break so that the tines that hold the plates and cups could not stand up. There is no insurance against this type of breakage with Maytag. Our only option is to buy a new rack (s) and then have it installed. cost: $250.00 per rack. We could not even buy the new clips to hold the tines up that are left. I have used twine, twistie, wire, etc. and nothing works for long.
Don't buy Maytag.
I always thought that it was a great brand. I think that idea is in the past.

There are numerous complaints about this line of dishwashers. It sounds like it was poorly designed. Unfortunately, it is hard to find quality appliances of any brand these days. I'd hate to be in the market to go out and buy new ones.
