EL DORADO, ARKANSAS -- You guys just need to pack it in and close down.

First, you try to add the cheap made clothing at so called cheap prices. That failed, miserably.

Then you remove brands like Cabin Creek, St. John Bay, only two I know, leaving the average American with no way to afford the other brands. Double wammy!!

Don't know who's in charge of the marketing, but you are a bunch of fools... in short, suppose you deserve what you are about to get.

Good luck.

Unfortunately too many stores have attempted to *change their image* only to later realize some existing customers enjoyed certain brands and usually purchased other items for themselves or others while in the store.

I don't maintain a store should continue to carry a brand just to satisfy a few customers and lose money in the process, but I've known of too many who just went back home and decided to raid the back of the closet and wear whatever was there. It certainly looked better than the junk we are offered today.

And when they close down - how many jobs are lost? You will lose a choice in the market.

retailers are targeting the market segments that will spend, are you aging out of their target market so your brands are disappearing? I know I am. It is frustrating, but deal with it.

Penny's seems to be in trouble. Work with your retailers, shop /buy what you can. You think Penny's is bad....wait until you are stuck with what ever garbage walmart decides you deserve.

I'm not a huge fan of their clothes, but I like their prices on shoes and lingerie. I recently bought a very comfortable pair of shoes for only $25 and a bra on clearance for $8. I also like their selection of jewelry.

If JCP wants to survive they need to fire their CEO, Board of Directors and bring somebody in with actual large store retail experience, not some golden boy from Apple.

I fear it may be too late.
