Eneighborhoods Complaint - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ENEIGHBORHOODS

Review by sscheiffley on 2006-02-07
WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA -- I signed up for a free one month trial of the eneighborhoods real estate tool. I did not use the service once. I called to cancel the service and was extended an offer for an additional month free. The person sounded nice and I just thought why not try it for another month. I still did not use the service in that extra month. I decided to cancel the service, but the company charges a month in advance and would not refund my money. I expressed that I was not interested in the service and they told me there was a 30 day cancellation notice which was not something they told me before I wanted to cancel. I called only 5 days into the month and they refused to be decent about it. I asked for a prorate on the month. The answer was no and they told me "we offer a service, but we cannot hold a gun to your head and make you use it, there will be no refund on your month." I realize I was late in calling to cancel, but they could have been decent about it and at the very least prorated the month for me. Their company policies stink and I will not use them in the future.

Shouldnt the title actually be "dont use e-neighborhoods if you cant follow simple instructions (like canceling on time)?"

In addition to the above comments when you signed up for the service this is on the website that you agree to when you sign up. If you choose not to read what you are agreeing to how can you write bad stuff about the company. It falls on you not them. Yes I know for a fact it is there I use to work for them.
