Sears Compliment -
OXDORD, MISSISSIPPI -- Last Thursday I returned a Sony camcorder that I had purchased from Sears on the 0% interest until 2002 system. I upgraded to a 350.00 higher camcorder because the one I purchased would not do what it was suspose to do (Which I was told by Sears personnel that it would) I ask them to credit my charge card and reorder the camcorder I needed asking that I be assured I would still get the 2002 0% interest rate. The young man that waited on me was very nice but said he did not know how to put it in the computer. The female that was working there informed me that I could not get the 0%interest rate now. I ask that they credit my card and I ordered from the inter-net costing me several hundred dollars in interest if I do not pay it off. As I left I ask that the manager be informed of the situation as he was not there and please tell him that he just lost an approximate 800.00 sale. I have not heard from them. I feel that I should receive the interest rate as I was returning a product that was unable to do the job which I was informed that it would do. That very afternoon a flyer was distributed in the city with 0% interest on camcorders advertised. Please see if there is anything that can be done about this. Please inform your company that in the past two years I have purchased a riding lawn tractor, a washer, 3 micowaves, a vacumm cleaner, a power lawn mower and a weed eater from this same store in Oxford, Ms. Mr. Hunter is the manager and evidently he was never made aware of this situation as he has been very nice and fair in the past. I would like if you could do the following:
I believe I should have credit for the interest that will be charged to my credit card.
Thank you for your time.
