NEW ULM, TEXAS -- If I vacuum the floor after my dogs are on there it will get clogged every time. Between the dog hair and the sand on my floor it for not. Every time it will clog and blow out sand and dirt out at me. And the sand goes everywhere an lord behold the vacuum is clogged with dog hair. Not only clogged but the hair is wrapped around the brush, so you have to take it apart to clean and fix it. Not one time - every time. I think it is a piece of junk!!!!!!!!!

You know what I found works great for dog hair? An old canister vacuums with an electric brush in the nozzle. I've heard newer canister vacuums also work well.

Mine is a 1970 Sears (:

If you use carpet fresh prior to vacuuming it will compound this problem. A friend of mine had this same problem and once a week I would have to clean his vacuum of dog hair obstruction. When I advised him to change from a powder form of freshener to an aerosol the problem disappeared.
