Priceline.com - Beware. No quality standards!
Hotel reservations - Complaint
I booked a hotel through Priceline.com. When I checked in, the desk person was extremely rude. She directed me to the stairs that I could use to carry my luggage up to the 3rd floor. Elevator out of service. After dragging my luggage up to the 3rd floor, my room keys did not work. While waiting for a new set, I discovered the return vent directly outside the room had an inch of dust covering it. When I finally got into the room, the ac unit had no cover on it. With the mechanism exposed except for a similar blanket of dirt. The coverlet on the bed was spotted with numerous fresh spots. I attempted to contact Priceline via the free Internet, which of course did not work. I finally phoned them, and spoke with a Priceline customer service representative that apologized, but had nothing to offer other than contacting the same hotel representative that had treated me so rudely. I left immediately for another hotel. I received an email to contact Priceline which I did, and was told that I would not be receiving a refund.
I asked the representative what the customer service department did at Priceline, since they didn't serve the customers, and the representative abruptly ended the call. They obviously have no quality standards for the hotels they represent.
