Jenn-Air - Stringing Me Along for More Than 3 Months

BENTON HARBOR, MICHIGAN -- I purchased this Jenn Air range less than 5 years (as it is still under warranty) because I believed Jenn Air to be a top brand. Woe is me!! The first time the Control Panel went out was only 2-1/2 years after I purchased the range. The second time was December 2012. I called Jenn Air to send both the Control Panel and the Control Board -- not being sure which part it was at this time. I was told parts were on back order... here it is 3 months later and guess what? The part(s) are still on back order. Am I the only range owner whose Control Board stopped working across the entire country? In the three months they have repeatedly said, "Part is on back order." Now they have said May 2013. A representative of their company stated, "The plant that makes this part is in Japan, in the area devastated by the tsunami; there is NO factory making parts!" Yet Jenn Air continued to say the part(s) are on back order. After I exploded on the telephone this morning, they told me I would be contacted to receive a "prorated amount of money to replace range." The range was $1200 five years ago; so what is the life span of a Jenn Air range? In my book, it's a ZERO!! DO NOT BUY JENN AIR PRODUCTS!! THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO CONSUMERS.
