NORWALK, CALIFORNIA -- Bought a dirt bike from motobuy.Com. First they send me the wrong tracking number after a few back and forth e-mails they asked me to call the shipper and see what the problem is (some customer service). When the bike arrived via conway shipping the angle iron frame was smashed into the side of the bike. A quick check revealed some scratching on the plastic. Since the driver couldn't stay long enough for me to take it out of the packaging and put it together I had to refuse shipment. I wasn't happy with this company from the beginning and e-mailed them to let them know I wanted cancel my order and that I had bought from some else. I since have been charged with a shipping fee and a restocking fee. I only got half my money back. Stay away from motobuys.com at all cost.

Based on your description, it sounds like motobuys acted accordingly. Let me explain...

The motobuys website says your item is packaged to prevent damage, with metal-framed protective packaging. It states that if there is damage, it is to be noted on the shipping carrier's invoice before they leave, and replacement parts will be provided to you by motobuys.

You said there were "scratches on plastic". Was this plastic a part that could be replaced? If so, it makes sense that they would want to do that, and not pay for shipping the whole thing back, and then another one.

I see why you refused delivery and understand the delivery guy couldn't wait around, but by doing so it creates the need for a round trip of shipping a heavy item.

This is helpful information for others considering buying from this company.
