Hotels.com - Mis Representation and Abusing Pre-Paid Booking
Hotels.com takes pre-paid reservations and payments for their bookings and then makes the customer wait for several days before they post to the points program.
This is an abuse of customer funds. Would a bank take prepaid deposit of cash and not post to the customer's account right away?
It is understood if the funds need to clear, but this is a pre-paid program. Hotels.com has the money and they claim their systems won't, can't or whatever post the nights to the points program.
Sometimes a free night is the most valuable to a customer at the very end of a trip where there may be some last minute changes.....Hotels.com can not, or will not, accommodate this situation. They blame it on system parameters and system rules that can not be changed or over ridden.
Shame on these people.....the big hotel sites are very accommodating, I'm switching.
