Frenchie's Chevrolet Complaint - Poor service
MASSENA, NEW YORK -- I went to Frenchie's to trade in my used minivan for a new one. It is a 2004 Chrysler Townand Country. It had 23,000 mi at the time and has been extremely well cared for. I brought every reciept of all maintenance done. When I went inside I was greted by a man named Jerry. By the way he was dressed I thought he was a mechanic but it turned out he was a salesman. I I was looking for a new trailbalzer, something small with 4 wheel drive. He got all excited and started telling me about used minivans. I told him I didnt want a minivan, but an SUV. He started asking me all sorts of personal questions. I know its his job, but this person was so annoying I just wanted to leave. I told him please lets get down to business and took me outside.
On the lot he would show me anything but minivans. I just ignored him and walked away and looked at the new SUVs. He told me to meet him inside when I was ready as he had other things to show me. I felt like I wasnt being listened to, so when I went back in I asked for a manager. Then a man named Arnie came out. He told me he looked at my minivan and he went into some prepared speech about non gm cars. This guy was so coy it was insulting. Ive never been so insulted without someone just coming out and putting me down. He seemed to think my van, with leather, a dvd, and everyother upgrade, plus a clean engine, no problems mechanically, etc was worth only $5000 to me. I just can't explain it, ithe way I was treated and the offer they gave me was like one big slap in the face, as if they were saying "How dare you bring a non-gm vehicle around here." I am never going back and I am telling others to do the same.
