Cingular Wireless Complaint - False Advertisement - Premier Website
I am a student at a university that is a Premier Cingular member. Student and facuilty are entitled to special deals that are on a special website. I am a current Cingular subscriber and wanted new phones so I decided to purchase a phone that was a buy one, get one free special. I have two lines on my account and I was going to give the other phone to my sister who uses the other line. To make a long story short after I ordered the phone on-line I checked my order status a day later and found only one phone being shipped. After calling three times and being placed on hold for over 15 minutes to even speak to a representative I was told that I needed to pay for the free phone. First I was told I needed to have ordered 2 phones which I didnt understand if I ordered the buy one get one free phone. Then I was told I needed a 2nd line which I have. The rep. then proceeded to tell me I needed to order a phone per line which would have equated to me receiving 4 phones it the mail. After I tried to find out what I needed to do to receive the free phone that I ordered I was told my 2nd line was not eligible for an upgrade even though both lines were purchased on the same day under the same name under the same account. I was told since I was not eiligible for an upgrade I can't purchase new phones on-line under a discount they have to be purchased from the store. I cancelled my order and now it will take me 30-60 days to receive a credit on my credit card. Not only is the information on the website inaccurate and unclear it is also false. And I still don't get good service anywhere.
