Frigidaire - Poor customer service help with a MFD
09-07-12 new fridge side by side - Complaint
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN -- I purchased a Frigidaire side by side fridge on 9-7-12 and on 4-1-13 I had a repair technician out from Mr. Appliance to inspect this smell that I kept getting from the fridge this smell smelt like plastic burning and this smell was in the ice and even some of my food in the fridge. The technician found out that in the freezer side of the unit when he removed the panel that the plastic was melting on the liner he even noted that the liner couldn’t be replaced. I have been in contact with FRIGIDAIRE customer service insisting that I want my fridge replaced because of the smell and I don’t think this smell will ever go away or this could be a fire hazard so they are having it repaired they told me that they will use some epoxy to cover the liner where it is melting and replace the part causing the liner to melt.
I will never purchases a FRIGIDIRE product again there customer service department is no help when it comes to taking care of a manufacture defect.
