Century National insurance - They Cancelled My Home Fire Insurance (Unbelievable!)

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I refinanced my home 12/31/2012 and my insurance was canceled on 3/31/2013 in-spite of the fact it was prepaid through the end of the year by OneNevada Credit union.

I was sent a notice one week before they canceled, and I called them immediately. Still nothing was done. I called my bank 3 days before it canceled and they said they would take care of it. The day it canceled was a Sunday, the end of a 3 day Holiday for the Insurance company. I emailed them and left voice messages, but still nothing was accomplished to forestall the cancellation. 2 days before it canceled I got ahold of the agent "Exxact Insurance", but they said there was nothing they could do, even though I offered to pay it myself.

I cannot believe how irresponsible these idiots are! I ended up calling on Sunday, Allstate Insurance, who took my payment over the phone and started my policy at 12:01 AM. I was without any coverage for 24hrs. BTW. I saved over $75.00 with Allstate.

Century National are absolutely terrible and irresponsible. Now I have to wait for a refund from these idiots because they have my money from the credit union.

Presumably you have your credit union collect your insurance permium as a part of your mortgage payment, and hold it in escrow until they recieve a bill. Did you confirm with them that they received a bill? It may be that it never made it to them, and so they never paid your insurance.
When this happens, the insurance company only knows that they didn't get paid, not what caused the problem.
In many cases, the bill for the insurance goes to the customer, and it is their responsibility to forward it to the financial institution to be paid.
So...did your CU ever get the bill?
