Dillards - Poor Customer Services
Cosmetic - Complaint
TEMPLE, TEXAS -- On 3/29/13,at 2:12pm, I was shopping in the Temple Mall, I decide to visit Dillard cosmetic counter. There I met sales representative Debbie (last name unknown). I was interested in buying some cosmetic from fashion fair products. I discuss with Debbie the reasons for wanting to buy Fashion fair, she then stated she didn't think I needed any. Debbie then introduce me to some concealer and foundation, which I really like and had a made up mind that I was going to purchase it.
Before Debbie started to apply the products to my face, she told me the concealer was $24.00 and the foundation was $28.00 and she then ask me if I could afford it, At this present time I was very embarrasss due to customers and another sales representative standing behind me at another counter. I answered yes, and proceeded to received my free facial. Once at counter I purchase the merchandise and only paid $18.00 for the concealer and $24.00 for the foundation which bought my total with taxes to $45.47. I left Dillard's, feeling embarrasss, hillminiated and degraded. Once I return home with the merchandise I called the store manager and explain in detail what happen with the name of the sales representative. She quickly apologize and stated it will never happen again. After explaining in detail, I ended the conversation by letting her know that I was African American and that I would be returning the merchandise.
