PORTLAND, OREGON -- When I was 8 I woke up with my cheek the size of a baseball. I had been at Adventist four times and the last time all they did was have me stand against a door and take pictures of me like I was a pet.

Their diagnoses was, I bit myself while sleeping. My mother took me to Emanuel and within in one hour they had diagnosed it as a tumor. I've had four surgeries on it since then. I've been brought to Adventist four times over 5 years for passing out and the first time was in 5th grade and they told my mom to make sure I was eating because I could be anorexic. At 10!

Each time I stayed less then an hour. I am 17 now and this summer I started passing out three to four times a day and I was brought to the ER and I didn't even see a doctor! That night I went to Emanuel and I stayed there for three nights. They did every test possible until they figured out what was wrong.

I was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. They also found that I had a small hemangioma (tumor) on my cerebellum. I understand one bad experience but having 10-15 bad experiences is horrific. I am a child who has suffered my whole life from passing out, back pain, numbness, tumor pain, and POTS, and not once was I treated as a patient should be. There is nothing good to say about this hospital and I pray that they somehow close before they ruin anymore lives then what they already have. Thank you.
